Frequently Asked Questions

Due to the assigned seating policy at Progressive Field, all team tickets for the Cleveland game were reserved prior to the Cleveland lottery. However, we will do our best to accommodate fans on a first-come, first-served basis with standing-room tickets ($35 per ticket). A purchase link for tickets will be sent out by July 22nd.

Tickets will be electronically distributed for the game at Progressive Field.

TEAM PARTICIPANTS
Tickets will be distributed electronically on Thursday, August 8. Each Head Coach will receive an email link with the allocated number of tickets for his or her team. The Head Coach will be responsible for distributing tickets to each player and their family. Coaches should ensure that the email address associated with their team registration is correct so tickets can be distributed properly.

INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANTS

The ballpark has both synthetic turf and natural surface fields for age groups 9U-13U. Please bring turf shoes and cleats. 14U will play on natural surface fields throughout the tournament and metal cleats are only permitted on these natural surface fields. Rubber molded cleats are approved for the turf fields.

Although we are going to have a BLAST at Dave & Busters the night prior to Banana Ball Camp (and may even have a few surprise guests show up), we understand that not everyone will be able to attend due to travel plans. If you absolutely must miss your designated check-in time, we have made alternate arrangements to make sure everyone is accommodated.

INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANTS:
We will have a check-in tent at the entrance (prior to the start of Banana Ball Camp) on Wednesday, August 7.

  • Please arrive at 8:30 AM (9U-11U) or 12:30 PM (12U-14U) so that we can ensure that you have everything you need prior to the start of Banana Ball Camp.


TEAM PARTICIPANTS:
We will have a check-in tent at the entrance (prior to the start of camp) on Wednesday, August 7.

  • The whole team does NOT have to be present in order to check in. We ask that at least one of your coaches or a team representative checks your team in on Banana Ball Camp Day!

The camp will be 3 hours long and will be divided into two sessions:

  • Session 1: 9U-11U 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Report NO SOONER than 8:30 AM)
  • Session 2: 12U-14U 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Report NO SOONER than 12:30 PM)


We ask that all participants come prepared with the following items:

  • Wear your full uniform.
  • All baseball equipment (helmet, glove, bat, flat shoes, and/or baseball cleats/turf shoes)
  • Water Bottle/ Hydration
  • A positive attitude. Be Banana Ball ready!

Yes, speakers are encouraged! We will have an award for the best WALKOUT Intro, so be prepared and have fun with it!!:)

We will be hosting an autograph session at the Welcome Party on Wednesday, August 7 starting at 4:00 PM.

***We ask that all participants hold off on asking the players for autographs during the Camp Sessions.***

Yes! This bat passes all tests and is certified for use at the tournament.

LEGAL BATS:
Only BPF 1.15 stamped bats, USSSA, BBCOR bats, USA bats, and wood bats are legal for game play for 9U-12U.

The 13-14U age group has the same standards for bats, except all bats used for gameplay must be a weight drop of -5 or heavier and all -3 must be BBCOR or wood.

RESTRICTED BATS:
Due to player safety, multiple models of DeMarini 2017 CF Zen (-8) and (-10) bats have been declared ineligible for gameplay. For a complete list of these illegal bats, please see the following:

Victory Sports Park provides several concession options throughout the park including Victory Grille, an on-site two-story restaurant, and concession trailers and concession windows. During the Welcome Party, there will be several local Cleveland food truck vendors.

In accordance with the City ordinance, no outside food or beverages are permitted to be brought into the park with the exception of TEAM water coolers or clear water/sports drink bottles (one-gallon max) per visitor.

Absolutely
No exceptions! Players will be ejected from the game if they bunt while at bat.
Yes, we can set up an Evoshield team shop for each team registered for the event that would like to come as one of the Banana Ball teams.

Yes, players from the Bananas and Party Animals will be on-site for the Banana Ball camp, to meet and greet your players, sign autographs, and be around throughout the event!

Yes, this is the first officially sanctioned Youth Banana Ball event brought to you by The Savannah Bananas and Athletx.

Yes, each team will receive 50 tickets for the game at Progressive Field to watch The Savannah Bananas and the Party Animals! This game will be sold out, but we’ve got you covered so you can witness the Greatest Show in Sports as part of your tournament package! Tournament champions will be honored on the field during the Bananas game!

All games will be played by Banana Ball rules.

Teams may play in their own team uniforms. Jerseys must have numbers and be consistent across the entire team. Any team that wishes to play in Bananas uniforms (jerseys, caps, etc.) may ONLY take the field in officially licensed Bananas or Party Animals jerseys. Any bootleg, knock-off or DIY jerseys will be prohibited, and this will be strictly enforced.
